For small – scale operations or projects with a tight budget, the higher cost of diaphragm valves can be a significant deterrent. You might need to weigh the benefits of using a diaphragm valve against the cost and see if there are more cost – effective alternatives available.
Limited Sizing Options
Another disadvantage is that diaphragm valves may have limited sizing options. While you can usually find them in common sizes, getting a diaphragm valve in an extremely large or small size can be a challenge. This can be a problem if you’re working on a unique project that requires a non – standard valve size.
